Sweeper Email does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) or access your email content. We only collect the following:

• Email address - Required for authentication via Google
• Gmail thread IDs - Unique identifiers for email threads (does not include email content)
• Gmail filter IDs - Used to store your preferences such as bookmarked senders

Thread and filter IDs are metadata that enable Sweeper Email to function across sessions and provide insights such as the number of emails cleaned. This data does not reveal the content of your emails.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or access your email content under any circumstances. Your messages remain private and are never read or analyzed by our service.

Anonymous Usage Data

When you use Sweeper Email, we may automatically collect anonymous usage data including your device IP address, browser type, operating system, and interaction patterns within the application. This information helps us improve performance and usability but is not linked to your personal identity.

Third-Party Services

Sweeper Email utilizes the Gmail API to read, delete, and manage your emails. We adhere to Google's privacy policies and security best practices. When you authenticate via Google, you authorize both Google and Sweeper Email to access your account in accordance with the permissions you grant.

How We Use Your Data

The data we collect (thread IDs, filter IDs, and email address) is used exclusively to provide Sweeper Email's functionality. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any other purpose.

Data Protection

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption in transit - All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
• Encryption at rest - Sensitive credentials and tokens are encrypted in our database
• OAuth 2.0 - We use Google's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication; we never see or store your Google password
• Minimal data access - We only request the Gmail permissions necessary to provide our service
• No email content storage - Email content is fetched on-demand and never stored on our servers

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your Google user data only as long as necessary to provide our service:

• Email metadata (thread IDs, filter IDs) - Retained while your account is active
• OAuth tokens - Stored securely and refreshed automatically; revoked when you disconnect your account
• Account deletion - You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon deletion, all your data including email metadata, preferences, and OAuth tokens are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
• Revoking access - You can revoke Sweeper Email's access to your Google account at any time via Google's security settings

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on legitimate interests, specifically to provide the service functionality you have requested. This processing is necessary for Sweeper Email to operate and does not infringe upon your privacy rights.
