Your privacy is important to me. This policy explains what data Sweeper Email collects, how it's used, and—most importantly—what we don't do with your information.
What We Collect
Here's the deal: Sweeper Email doesn't collect personally identifiable information (PII) or read your email content. We only collect:
- Your email address (for authentication via Google)
- Gmail thread IDs (unique identifiers for email threads, but they don't contain your actual emails)
- Gmail filter IDs (to remember your preferences like which senders you've bookmarked)
Think of thread and filter IDs as metadata—they help Sweeper Email work across sessions and calculate insights like how many emails you've cleaned, but they don't reveal the content of your emails.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect, store, or read your email content. Ever. Your messages are yours, and I have no interest in snooping.
Anonymous Usage Data
When you use Sweeper Email, we may automatically collect some anonymous usage data like your device IP address, browser type, operating system, and how you interact with the app. This helps improve performance and usability, but it's not linked to your personal identity.
Google & Third-Party Services
Sweeper Email uses the Gmail API to read, delete, and manage your emails. We follow Google's privacy policies and best practices to keep your data secure. When you authenticate via Google, you're trusting both Google and me to handle your account responsibly.
How We Use Your Data
The data we collect (thread IDs, filter IDs, and your email address) is used solely to make Sweeper Email work. That's it. We don't sell, share, or use your data for anything else.
Legal Basis
We process your data based on legitimate interests—specifically, to provide the functionality you signed up for. This processing doesn't infringe on your privacy rights and is necessary for Sweeper Email to work.
