How to Unsubscribe from PayPal Emails
PayPal sends offers and rewards, product news, and survey requests. Here are the three ways to make it stop, from slowest to fastest.
Sweep all PayPal emails freeUse the unsubscribe link in any PayPal email
Open a recent PayPal email and scroll to the very bottom. Click the small unsubscribe link in the footer, then confirm on the page that opens. In Gmail you can also click the Unsubscribe button next to the sender name at the top of the message.
Good news: PayPal's footer link is dependable and applies to the whole mailing list, not just one campaign.
Senders can take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, so a few more emails may arrive first.
Turn off email in your PayPal settings
Open Settings (the gear), then Notifications, and turn off promotional email. Payment receipts and security alerts continue and cannot be disabled.
Unsubscribe and delete the old ones in one click
Unsubscribing stops future emails; the hundreds already in your inbox stay. To find every PayPal email you have, paste this into Gmail's search bar:
Then tick the select-all checkbox, click "Select all conversations that match this search", and delete. Or skip the manual work: Sweeper Email shows PayPal as a single row with a count, and one click unsubscribes and sweeps every email at once. Scanning is free and deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days.

Why am I still getting PayPal emails after unsubscribing?
Senders can legally take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, and PayPal sends several distinct email types that may be subscribed separately. Use the PayPal settings described above to switch off every category at once.
How do I delete all my old PayPal emails?
Unsubscribing only stops future mail. In Gmail, search from:(paypal.com) -subject:(receipt OR payment), click Select all, then Delete. Or connect Sweeper Email and sweep every PayPal email in one click; deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days in case you change your mind.
Can I stop PayPal emails without deleting my account?
Yes. Turning off marketing email in the settings keeps your PayPal account fully active; only the promotional mail stops. Account, security, and receipt emails continue.
