How to Unsubscribe from Target Emails

Target sends Circle offers, weekly ads, back-in-stock alerts, and RedCard promotions. Here are the three ways to make it stop, from slowest to fastest.

Sweep all Target emails free

Use the unsubscribe link in any Target email

Open a recent Target email and scroll to the very bottom. Click the small unsubscribe link in the footer, then confirm on the page that opens. In Gmail you can also click the Unsubscribe button next to the sender name at the top of the message.

Good news: Target's footer link is dependable and applies to the whole mailing list, not just one campaign.

Senders can take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, so a few more emails may arrive first.

Turn off email in your Target settings

Open Account, then Email preferences, and either untick categories or choose unsubscribe from all Target marketing email.

Unsubscribe and delete the old ones in one click

Unsubscribing stops future emails; the hundreds already in your inbox stay. To find every Target email you have, paste this into Gmail's search bar:

from:(target.com)

Then tick the select-all checkbox, click "Select all conversations that match this search", and delete. Or skip the manual work: Sweeper Email shows Target as a single row with a count, and one click unsubscribes and sweeps every email at once.
