How to Unsubscribe from Spotify Emails

Spotify sends new release alerts, playlist updates, concert notifications, and Premium offers. Here are the three ways to make it stop, from slowest to fastest.

1

Use the unsubscribe link in any Spotify email

Open a recent Spotify email and scroll to the very bottom. Click the small unsubscribe link in the footer, then confirm on the page that opens. In Gmail you can also click the Unsubscribe button next to the sender name at the top of the message.

Good news: Spotify's footer link is dependable and applies to the whole mailing list, not just one campaign.

Senders can take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, so a few more emails may arrive first.

2

Turn off email in your Spotify settings

Go to your Account page on the web, open Notification settings, and untick Email for each category (music recommendations, concerts, product news).

3

Unsubscribe and delete the old ones in one click

Unsubscribing stops future emails; the hundreds already in your inbox stay. To find every Spotify email you have, paste this into Gmail's search bar:

from:(spotify.com)

Then tick the select-all checkbox, click "Select all conversations that match this search", and delete. Or skip the manual work: Sweeper Email shows Spotify as a single row with a count, and one click unsubscribes and sweeps every email at once. Scanning is free and deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days.

Common questions

Why am I still getting Spotify emails after unsubscribing?

Senders can legally take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, and Spotify sends several distinct email types that may be subscribed separately. Use the Spotify settings described above to switch off every category at once.

How do I delete all my old Spotify emails?

Unsubscribing only stops future mail. In Gmail, search from:(spotify.com), click Select all, then Delete. Or connect Sweeper Email and sweep every Spotify email in one click; deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days in case you change your mind.

Can I stop Spotify emails without deleting my account?

Yes. Turning off marketing email in the settings keeps your Spotify account fully active; only the promotional mail stops. Account, security, and receipt emails continue.
