How to Unsubscribe from YouTube Emails

YouTube sends channel upload alerts, recommended for you, and YouTube Premium offers. Here are the three ways to make it stop, from slowest to fastest.

Sweep all YouTube emails free

Use the unsubscribe link in any YouTube email

Open a recent YouTube email and scroll to the very bottom. Click the small unsubscribe link in the footer, then confirm on the page that opens. In Gmail you can also click the Unsubscribe button next to the sender name at the top of the message.

Good news: YouTube's footer link is dependable and applies to the whole mailing list, not just one campaign.

Senders can take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, so a few more emails may arrive first.

Turn off email in your YouTube settings

Go to YouTube Settings, then Notifications, and scroll to Email notifications. Turn off 'Send me emails about my YouTube activity' and the promotional toggles. Subscription bell alerts are controlled per channel.

Unsubscribe and delete the old ones in one click
