How to Unsubscribe from Quora Emails

Quora sends question digests, answer notifications, space updates, and answers picked for you. Here are the three ways to make it stop, from slowest to fastest.

1

Use the unsubscribe link in any Quora email

Open a recent Quora email and scroll to the very bottom. Click the small unsubscribe link in the footer, then confirm on the page that opens. In Gmail you can also click the Unsubscribe button next to the sender name at the top of the message.

Heads up: Quora's footer link tends to unsubscribe you from one email type at a time, so mail from other categories keeps coming. Method 2 switches everything off at once.

Senders can take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, so a few more emails may arrive first.

2

Turn off email in your Quora settings

Open Settings, then Email & Notifications. Set the digest frequency to Never and uncheck each notification type. Quora re-enables digests after long inactivity, so a Gmail filter is a good backstop.

Tip: Quora is notorious for many small email categories; the settings page lists them all on one screen.
3

Unsubscribe and delete the old ones in one click

Unsubscribing stops future emails; the hundreds already in your inbox stay. To find every Quora email you have, paste this into Gmail's search bar:

from:(quora.com)

Then tick the select-all checkbox, click "Select all conversations that match this search", and delete. Or skip the manual work: Sweeper Email shows Quora as a single row with a count, and one click unsubscribes and sweeps every email at once. Scanning is free and deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days.

Common questions

Why am I still getting Quora emails after unsubscribing?

Senders can legally take up to 10 business days to process an unsubscribe, and Quora sends several distinct email types that may be subscribed separately. Use the Quora settings described above to switch off every category at once.

How do I delete all my old Quora emails?

Unsubscribing only stops future mail. In Gmail, search from:(quora.com), click Select all, then Delete. Or connect Sweeper Email and sweep every Quora email in one click; deleted mail sits in Trash for 30 days in case you change your mind.

Can I stop Quora emails without deleting my account?

Yes. Turning off marketing email in the settings keeps your Quora account fully active; only the promotional mail stops. Account, security, and receipt emails continue.
